Senior Manager, Integration Engineering

• Ensure excellence in integration delivery across all new and existing customer deployments, ensuring integrations are reliable, scalable, and delivered on time. • Recruit, mentor, and lead a rapidly growing, high-performing team of client-facing integration professionals. • You will foster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning; you’re not intimidated by managing tenured technical resources who bring niche integration expertise even beyond yours - you are excited to empower them. • Cultivate and maintain integration standards, documentation, and best practices across APIs, HL7, flat file, and database-based integrations. • Partner with Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams to align integration approaches with product strategy and client timelines. • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-risk integrations, providing hands-on technical guidance. • Collaborate with customer technical teams, including EHR, data, and IT stakeholders, to develop secure and compliant data exchange. • Establish metrics and reporting for integration performance, throughput, and reliability, and communicate insights to company leadership. • Continuously improve integration tooling, automation, and processes to support scale as SmarterDx grows. • Drive technical design reviews, architectural decisions, and technology evaluations to ensure platform scalability and maintainability. • Establish development standards and best practices including code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards.

Job Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in healthcare technology implementation, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (responsible for high value portfolios, managing teams of 10+ resources, or -ideally- both).
  • Hands-on-keys expertise building HL7, FHIR, API integration, and database extracts for complex integrations with large health systems and enterprise customers, including extensive experience integrating with inpatient EHRs (including Epic, Cerner)
  • Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of empowering high performing technical leaders, setting clear expectations, and driving results.
  • Strong delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives across customers and products.
  • Persuasive and clear in client-facing written and verbal communication, with the ability to confidently engage with health system resources from executives to analysts while mitigating risks.
  • You’re a pro at translating business and clinical requirements into technical integration solutions (and vice versa)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to forecast capacity, identify bottlenecks, and measure success.
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments, balancing long-term strategy with near-term execution.
