Senior Program Controller – Construction Management

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and governance frameworks. • Ensure alignment with client goals and track performance using KPIs and metrics. • Oversee design, construction, and closeout phases across diverse project types. • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. • Supervise multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and contractors. • Provide technical guidance on cost control, constructability, and value engineering. • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. • Build strong relationships with property managers, healthcare administrators, and technical teams. • Communicate project updates and strategy to senior leadership. • Support readiness assessments and stage gate reviews across programs. • Collaborate with regional program managers and project controls teams. • Lead program-level reporting and governance activities. • Identify and implement process improvements and delivery innovations. • Capture and share lessons learned to enhance future project performance. • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred and may substitute for some experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing capital projects, with a strong track record across sectors such as commercial real estate, healthcare, and data centers.
- Extensive experience in project controls, including developing and managing budgets, schedules, forecasts, and performance metrics on large-scale programs.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through construction and closeout.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of construction documentation, procurement processes, and standard contract forms (e.g., AIA, FIDIC, or similar), with experience in contract negotiation and administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and client satisfaction.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE, or equivalent are highly desirable and reflect a commitment to industry best practices.
