Controller Assistant – Assistant Controller

• Assist the Controller with daily accounting operations and month-end close • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies • Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll reviews • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies • Support audits, tax filings, and documentation requests • Help improve accounting processes and internal controls • Provide backup support for the Controller as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end and year-end close
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CPA or progress toward CPA (Preferred)
- Experience supporting audits or tax preparation (Preferred)
- ERP or mid-to-large accounting system experience (Preferred)
- Experience in a growing or dynamic organization (Preferred)
