Role Description The Solutions Architect (SA) is a subject matter expert (SME) and technology thought leader who contributes their deep knowledge of process and technology to the core team for Rollouts & Named Accounts engagement. The SA provides direction and advice through the project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to implementation support. As the technical thought leader on a project team, the SA is instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with SMEs and project teams as required. The SA is also responsible for mentoring other members of the design engineering staff. Reporting Director – Rollouts & Named Accounts, the SA’s project assignments are determined by Engineering Leadership based on enterprise-wide demands. What You’ll Do - Contributes to complex engagements and works directly with clients and project teams to develop basis of design, budgets, timelines, and manage expectations. - Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements. - Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the base building tasks performed by others, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions. - Monitor development of projects the Bills of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation. - Develop detailed design documentation strategy based on established engineering standard practices. Track engineering team tasks to completion. - Generate functional system descriptions, workflow narratives, and accompanying sketches. - Research, identify, and recommend technology options for clients and projects. - Contribute technical expertise for the creation and later reconciliation of the complete construction drawing package, support documentation for installation and coordination with architect and other trades. - Monitor project testing, commissioning, and configuration activities during project deployment. - Support projects and teams in build phase. - Provide regular project engineering milestone status updates to Technical Operations resource planning. - Maintain expertise in the industry through ongoing review of trade publications, participation in industry trade shows, seminars, and educational forums. Complexity This role is a mix between non-billable in a pre-sales capacity and billable in a post-sales capacity. There are times when the SA will work on presales estimation and design efforts. Decision Making Authority As the technical thought leader on a project, the SA is responsible for vetting products and making detailed equipment recommendations. The SA has the authority to recommend changes in scope as well as programming and commissioning activities to enhance project success. The SA is also responsible for reviewing drawing packages produced by project teams. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of SA. On occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision. Travel Occasional travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle for travel to job sites within a 2-hour driving distance each way and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Estimated travel for this position is approximately 20% but may vary greatly depending on project needs. • Build and lead a high‑performing, customer‑centric Solution Engineering organization supporting Commercial, Product, and Operations. • Define the long‑term vision for technical pre‑sales, solution design, and field‑readiness capabilities. • Establish scalable processes for surveys, PDIs, technical assessments, SOW development, and solution validation. • Partner with Commercial leadership to align technical resources with regional priorities and revenue targets. • Drive revenue growth across maintenance services, spares, upgrades, and major projects through timely, accurate, and compelling technical engagement. • Implement a presales technician model to accelerate surveys, improve SOW quality, and increase win rates. • Lead a distributed team of Solution Engineers and Onsite Maintenance Technicians across North America. • Oversee creation and accuracy of Statements of Work; ensure surveys and site visits are completed efficiently and consistently. • Support escalations, complex integrations, and high‑visibility deployments. • Collaborate with Operations and Support to ensure smooth handoffs from pre‑sales to deployment to long‑term service.

Role Description As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. - Provide technical support to customers, partners, and prospects - support topics include Edge Impulse Studio, ML/Data science, and running Edge Impulse deployments on embedded systems. - Build relationships with stakeholders from customer and internal teams (from engineering to C-level). - Act as a technical authority for each customer externally and each internal account team internally. - Demonstrate the technical features, capabilities, and use of the Edge Impulse platform to potential customers and partners. - Collect product feedback and translate it to requirements (feature requests) for Edge Impulse product and tech teams. - Provide direct engineering services to customers, using the Edge Impulse platform. - Work closely with customer success team to lay the technical foundation for Edge Impulse platform subscription renewals.
