Job Description

Configuration Management Analyst

Humana

• Administer and maintain Humana’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring all assets, systems, and configurations are accurately recorded, tracked, and updated throughout their lifecycle. • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of IT assets and system components throughout their lifecycle. • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of configuration items to identify discrepancies, unauthorized changes, or compliance gaps, and coordinate remediation efforts. • Contribute to incident and problem management processes by providing accurate configuration data for root cause analysis and impact assessments. • Document and maintain configuration management procedures, policies, standards (including naming, versioning, and baselining), and control narratives. • Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure that configuration data supports business needs and project delivery. • Generate and distribute configuration management reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and stakeholders. • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving configuration discrepancies, collaborating with relevant technical teams as needed. • Participate in the development and delivery of training and awareness initiatives related to configuration management best practices, risk, and security. • Support IT asset management by maintaining accurate relationships between assets, configurations, and their dependencies. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to configuration management tools, processes, and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT configuration management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms (preferred).
  • CIS – Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) (preferred).
  • Prior exposure to third-party risk management or cybersecurity programs in a healthcare or highly regulated environment (preferred).
