Senior Technical Project Manager, Growth Solutions
Workiva Inc.
Role Description As a Senior Technical Project Manager on the Growth Solutions team, you are the operational partner to an engineering team building AI-native products. We are looking for a practitioner who has built software and understands firsthand how AI-augmented environments change the development lifecycle. You will bridge the gap between product ideas and technical execution, ensuring the team's operating model evolves as AI-augmented practices mature. What You'll Do - Drive Execution Quality: Oversee delivery across mixed-shore teams, maintaining high standards for sequencing and momentum. Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become blockers. - Partner on Roadmap Strategy: Collaborate with Product to pressure-test priorities and surface dependencies. Ensure customer signals are reflected in a plan that respects the realities of AI-augmented development. - Apply Adaptive Methodologies: Act as a hybrid practitioner across Agile, Kanban, and Six Sigma. Select and adapt the right framework based on the team’s current journey and project requirements. - Lead Decision-Driven Reviews: Orchestrate program reviews with cross-functional leadership, providing the metrics and recommendations necessary to move projects forward. - Continuous Process Evolution: Partner with engineering leadership to refine how the team plans and iterates, specifically optimizing workflows for an AI-augmented development cycle. Qualifications - 6+ years of technical project/program management experience within a software engineering environment. - Undergraduate degree in a technical/STEM field or equivalent professional experience. Requirements - Active, hands-on experience using AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLM-based workflows) in your professional or personal projects. - Ability to engage substantively in technical discussions and "push back" on engineering estimates or architectures where necessary. - Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable priorities. - Excellence in translating technical status into business impact for executive audiences and stakeholders. - Deep proficiency in Jira (dashboards, workflows, configuration) and familiarity with tools like Smartsheet or Productboard. - PMP or equivalent project management certification. Benefits - Salary range in the US: $129,000.00 - $207,000.00. - A discretionary bonus typically paid annually. - Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire. - 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package. Travel & Working Conditions - Willingness to travel up to 10% for team engagement. - Reliable internet access for remote work.
