The Role The Project Engineer makes decisions, both technical and financial, on projects, which are required for the safe, efficient operation of the facility. This includes vendor and contractor selection on engineering projects. This individual also makes decisions that affect the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment. These impact production efficiencies, customer service, and product quality. Capital Project Management - Design - Appropriation requests - preparation and justification - Project preparation - Construction management - Transfer to plant owner - Contribute to long term capital plan Non-Capital Project and Plant Support - Manage assigned engineering projects that do not fall under corporate capital spending guidelines. - Assist plant maintenance personnel in troubleshooting process equipment. - Train plant personnel on new equipment and systems. - Identify continuous improvement opportunities and strive to implement sustainable solutions. The national pay range for this position is $81,500 to $126,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
