Project Manager, Federal Grant Administrator

• In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, prepare and submit grant applications to federal, state and local agencies • Manage existing grants from the Department of Energy (DOE) • Ensure compliance with regulatory and funding requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of the grants • Accurately record all grant-related activities, including application submission, approvals, expenditures, and reports • Audit grant budgets to ensure funds are allocated according to grant guideline • Produce regular communications and status updates as required by various audiences
Job Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of experience writing federal grant applications and administration, specifically from the Department of Energy (DOE) is required
- Strong knowledge of federal grant application regulations, policies, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques
- Prior experience building strong relationships with academic institutions on grant proposals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to deliver competing priorities in a timely manner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to be able to generate presentations and status updates on a range of topics. Ability to flex in communications style and output depending on audience / associated requirements
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Prior use of project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) required
- Experience with environmental projects is a plus

Role Description The Project Mgr, Federal Grant Administrator is responsible for the execution of large scale, complex grant application, evaluation and management processes. The successful candidate will evaluate complex projects and translate into grant proposals. They will work cross-functionally to prepare, submit, and manage federal grant applications to federal (i.e. Department of Energy), state and local agencies. This position is responsible for maintaining effective records, processes and reporting. This position is remote and may work across all time zones throughout the US, although primarily Mountain or Central Time. Qualified candidates must meet the minimum requirements and be fully authorized to work in the United States, without requiring visa sponsorship or C2C status.
