Principal Software Engineer – Technical Lead
GoTo
• As a Principal Engineer / Technical Lead for the LogMeIn Resolve platform, you will help shape the technical direction and architecture of the product while driving engineering excellence across teams • Lead architecture discussions, review RFCs, and guide scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost-efficient system design decisions • Drive AI adoption across engineering workflows and help build an AI-first engineering culture • Help create an AI-powered engineering pipeline leveraging AI agents, intelligent automation, and Specification-Based Development (SDD) • Partner closely with teams on cloud-native architecture, AWS best practices, reliability, security, and FinOps-aware engineering practices • Mentor engineers and promote high standards in quality, scalability, observability, and developer experience • Stay on top of emerging AI trends and proactively evaluate how new technologies can improve engineering efficiency and product innovation
Job Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with architectural and technical leadership experience
- Deep expertise in backend systems, distributed architectures, and cloud-native development
- Strong AWS, security, and cost-aware architecture mindset
- Passion for AI, AI-assisted development, and the future of software engineering
- Experience or strong interest in AI-driven engineering workflows, AI agents, and intelligent automation
- Familiarity with Specification-Based Development (SDD) and modern engineering practices
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and passion for solving complex technical challenges
