Field Service Technician – Labeling

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on equipment at customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction. • Assist in the installation, startup, and testing of new equipment, providing guidance to customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance practices. • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and diplomacy. • Collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. • Build and maintain customer relationships.

Job Requirements

  • A two-year post-high school diploma/certificate in electro-mechanical technology and a minimum of 3 years related experience, OR a high school diploma and a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, with a solid understanding of material handling practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as engineering documents, operation and maintenance instructions, bills of materials and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leaders, clients, and customers.
  • Strong time management skills to balance multiple projects with the potential of phone calls and simultaneous inquiries.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of VFD functions, operations, and programming.
  • Experience with Pressure Sensitive Labeling Machines preferred or Converting Equipment for Shrink Sleeve Labels and Flexible Packaging.
  • HMI programming knowledge of GE Proficy, Exor and Allen Bradley desired
  • Motion control experience with Allen Bradley and Control Techniques/SyPT desired
  • Proficiency in interpreting and troubleshooting pneumatic and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring and complete I/O checks.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Robotics experience is advantageous.
