Role Description - Develop and validate photonics reference designs for various passive and active photonics devices. - Perform nominal simulations as well as manufacturing variation studies for each reference design, using provided GDSII files and process parameters. - Assist with testing, formatting, and publication of new photonics examples based on completed reference designs. - Review existing training materials and identify gaps; help produce updated collateral aligned with photonic design workflows. - Work closely with Silvaco Photonics simulation and Dev teams to better understand tool usage and achieve the objectives above. As a member of the TCAD group, you will design, implement, evaluate, and improve classical, semiclassical, and quantum mechanical physical models and methods for the simulation of semiconductor devices. The successful candidate will be an experienced software engineer with expertise in simulation of semiconductor devices.
