• Design and manage core AWS infrastructure via Terraform and Terragrunt • Build and operate robust Kubernetes, GitOps and observability tooling • Shape how engineering teams ship to production, progressive rollouts, canary deploys and fast, safe rollbacks • Bake security into the SDLC, policy-as-code, OIDC-based cloud access, secret scanning and pre-merge controls, working closely with our Security team • Partner with engineering teams on infrastructure, database and deployment best practices • Provide and continuously improve CI/CD and developer tooling • Share an on-call rotation with the team, supported by the observability and tooling you help build • We make use of AI-assisted tooling (e.g. code generation, debugging, and platform operations). You’re either already comfortable working this way, or excited to adopt it.

• Build, maintain, and continuously improve our Internal Developer Platform to streamline development and deployment. • Design and enhance platform components to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and ease of use. • Provision, monitor, and maintain infrastructure across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Automate infrastructure provisioning, testing, deployment, and configuration through CI/CD and scripting. • Collaborate with software engineers, operations, security, and platform teams to understand needs and deliver effective solutions. • Implement and maintain security best practices, including access management, encryption, and compliance. • Ensure monitoring and observability, providing teams with logs, metrics, and troubleshooting tools. • Create and maintain clear documentation for platform tools, processes, and standards. • Support incident resolution related to platform functionality. • Continuously explore new technologies and improvements to reduce technical debt and enhance the developer experience.

• Own and evolve the core platform repository — the central Python package implementing our modular agent architecture across orchestration, tools, state, retrieval, configuration, and extensibility layers. • Design and maintain customer configuration schemas including versioning metadata, lineage tracking, and component provenance fields aligned with our IP strategy. • Implement backward-compatible schema extensions and ensure all active customer deployments upgrade without breaking changes. • Enforce schema validation at all node inputs/outputs to prevent data drift across multi-tenant environments. • Build and maintain cross-client isolation across customer configuration, persistent state, and RAG pipelines.

Role Description As a Platform Expert at Motion, you'll be at the forefront of our customer engagement. You will make sure our customers can find the info they need when they need it and have a friendly face to reach out to when things come up. - Interact with curious prospects or established clients, being the face of Motion in Slack and our in-app chat. - Be the key connector between our engineering and customer success teams ensuring issues are resolved and client feedback is heard. How you'll make a difference: - Help our clients resolve any issues or questions through Slack, in-app chat, and email. - Proactively troubleshoot client issues and work with our developers to implement solutions. - Be the source of truth for internal technical questions, knowing the platform’s capabilities and best workarounds. - Advocate for clients by translating recurring themes and feedback into actionable product ideas. - Own our knowledge base by building helpful, easy-to-follow guides based on your conversations.
