Senior Sales Engineer
Blackwall
• Partner closely with US Sales to support deal progression and conversion by owning the technical dimension of partner acquisition. • Lead technical discovery with partners, understanding their infrastructure, constraints, and business models. • Design and propose solution architectures aligned with Blackwall’s capabilities and partner environments. • Lead and coordinate Proof of Concept phases in collaboration with Tech Ops, ensuring solutions are validated and deployable. • Identify technical risks early and define mitigation approaches to avoid delays or failed integrations. • Support solution positioning through product demonstrations, technical discussions, and tailored proposals. • Engage directly with partners via calls, onsite meetings, and industry events as the technical face of Blackwall. • Deliver technical enablement and training sessions to partners and customers. • Collaborate with Tech Ops and Partner Success to ensure smooth transition from validation to production. • Contribute to defining reference architectures and best practices based on partner needs and market feedback. • Provide input to Product and Engineering based on recurring requirements and integration patterns.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical pre-sales roles.
- Strong experience in infrastructure environments such as hosting, CDNs, ISPs, MSPs, or web-scale platforms.
- Understand web traffic architecture, including reverse proxies, web servers (NGINX, Apache), and security layers (WAF, bot protection, DDoS).
- Led complex technical engagements, including Proof of Concept and partner integrations.
- Comfortable operating both at architectural level and in hands-on technical discussions.
- Worked closely with Sales teams and understand commercial deal cycles.
- Credible and confident in front of senior technical stakeholders and partners.
- Self-sufficient, structured, and able to operate in a fast-paced scale-up environment without heavy support structures.
