Role Description We’re looking for a Solution Architect – EDI to lead the design and delivery of EDI and B2B integration solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O). In this role, you’ll act as a critical bridge between business and IT—partnering with stakeholders to understand their needs and architect solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen supply chain connectivity, and enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in EDI technologies within the Microsoft ERP ecosystem (AX 2009, AX 2012, D365), along with strong solution architecture and integration expertise. You’ll play a key role in shaping scalable, reliable, and future-ready integration frameworks that support seamless communication with trading partners across the business. Work Location: Schaumburg, IL or Remote if Not Local This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable integration solutions that enable secure and efficient data exchange between the organization and its trading partners. This position acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams—translating business requirements into effective system solutions that drive operational efficiency and measurable business outcomes. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Strong experience in CPG or Manufacturing environment - 7+ years of experience with EDI implementation, integration, and maintenance - Experience working with integration development tools for EDI mapping and business process modeling - Experience with EDI configuration, including partner profile setup and business process modeling - Advanced experience EDI inbound and outbound interface functionality and developing and supporting interfaces for different business processes Requirements - Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for EDI and other B2B integration technologies. - Partner cross functionally with stakeholders to: - Review and document current state processes - Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities - Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions - Design and validate EDI solutions and offer guidance on the implementation of best practices, security standards and architectural principles. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, including solution reviews and design oversight. - Support the creation and maintenance of process and system documentation to enable effective knowledge transfer, system stability, smooth hyper care, and operational transitions. - Mentor, coach and train team members within the EDI and B2B integration domain. - Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and standards and recommend improvements in services and products. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and integration capabilities. - Collaborate across functional areas including Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment of solutions with business. - Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization. Benefits - Annual salary for this position ranges from $125,000 - $170,000 - This role is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Bonus - A full range of medical, dental, vision, 401K plus up-to-four percent (4%) match, profit sharing, wellness program, paid parental leave, long-term-care insurance, critical accident insurance, short- and long-term disability and education assistance are also available. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions - Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day). - Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment. - Ability to view computer screens and read printed materials for prolonged periods. - Occasional standing, walking, and reaching within the office environment. - Ability to lift and carry office supplies or equipment weighing up to 10–15 lbs. - Adequate hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and via phone/video.
