Job Description

Solutions Architecture Engineer 1

Dell Technologies

Role Description As an AI & Automation Support Engineer, you will provide technical and business consultative services across the pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle, with a strong focus on using AI, automation and scripting to make our solutions more scalable, efficient and reliable. You will translate customer and internal stakeholders’ business and technical requirements into integrated, end-to-end IT solutions that align with their strategic, operational and financial goals, helping position Dell Technologies for continued growth. - Work with cross-functional engineering, support and customer-facing teams to design, implement and optimize AI-powered workflows, particularly around Level 1 and Level 2 ticket handling, feedback automation and scalable support processes. - Use generative AI and automation to help manage and streamline Level 1 and Level 2 tickets, including feedback loops, driving scalability, improving time to resolution and reducing manual effort. - Act as an engineer who “makes it go” by working hands-on with support tickets, systems and workflows—in a role similar to quality assurance / support engineering—to ensure reliability and continuous improvement. - Consult with external customers and internal stakeholders to implement new or replacement IT solutions and translate business and technical requirements into end-to-end systems, applications or process designs for large, complex technology solutions. - Sign and maintain AI-driven and scripted workflows (for example, using Python, Power Automate or similar tools) to operationalize automation at scale, while growing as an agile, ambitious campus hire who is eager to learn and excited about AI and automation. Qualifications - Recent or upcoming graduate (campus hire) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data/AI or a related field, with a demonstrated willingness to learn, agility and ambition. - Foundational understanding of at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Power Automate or other scripting related to automation and AI. - Strong interest in AI and generative AI, with the ability to apply AI concepts to real-world support, ticketing and automation scenarios. - Ability to work on support and quality-focused engineering tasks, such as reviewing open tickets, validating solutions and ensuring systems perform reliably in production. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an educator/trainer mindset and the ability to explain, document and share knowledge with peers and customers. Requirements - Hardware experience (for example, exposure to servers, storage, networking or client hardware) or strong motivation and aptitude to ramp quickly in a hardware-centric environment. - Experience (through projects, internships or coursework) in building or integrating AI/automation workflows for ticketing, monitoring or operations tools. - Familiarity with concepts of scalability and performance in support or operations environments (for example, automating L1/L2 tasks or optimizing feedback loops). Benefits - Compensation: Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is ($69,680 – $95,810). Company Description Dell Technologies is a unique family of businesses that helps individuals and organizations transform how they work, live and play. Join us to build a future that works for everyone because Progress Takes All of Us. Dell Technologies is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
