Regional Technical Developer – Mining Solutions
BASF
• Driving technical-led business growth across the mining sector by developing new flotation opportunities • Building strategic partnerships, and positioning BASF Mining Solutions as a preferred supplier • Leading initial technical discussions with customers to assess needs, propose solutions, and define development pathways • Planning, conducting, and supporting laboratory tests and plant trials • Providing cost-effective and efficient technical support to the sub-regional business to support sustainable sales growth • Managing opportunities in Salesforce and providing regular updates on customer engagement, expected sales timelines, and competitive landscape • Establishing strong professional relationships with customer representatives at all organizational levels • Building and maintaining market intelligence, including customer KPIs, competitive insights, market needs, and growth potential
Job Requirements
- University degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining or engineering industry
- Proven expertise in mineral processing, with strong, hands-on knowledge of flotation techniques
- Demonstrated sales or business development experience with established customer relationships is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across a wide range of countries
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working independently
- Flexible approach to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
