Senior Financial Accountant
esVolta, LP
• Assist with the preparation, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement. • Perform key month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and variance analyses. • Ensure operating project billings, expenses, and related accruals are recorded timely and accurately each month. • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations across multiple entities. • Support project accounting and capitalization activities, including construction and development costs, fixed asset additions, and placed-in-service activity. • Prepare financial reporting, compliance deliverables, and audit support for tax equity investors, lenders, banks, external auditors, and other third parties. • Identify and support process improvements, automation tools, and AI agents to enhance accounting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A, Asset Management, Development, and other teams to support cash management, debt activity, reporting, and operational accounting needs. • Perform ad hoc projects and support other departments with financial information as needed. • Comply with all esVolta LP policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in accounting or related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus but not a requirement).
- Experience with multi-entity structures.
- Accounting experience with partnerships and consolidations is preferred.
- Technical and analytical accounting background and familiarity or experience with complex accounting issues, consolidations, U.S. GAAP issues, foreign currency translation, multiple corporate structures, equity, and investment accounting.
- Commitment, ability, and prior experience in meeting deadlines for monthly and quarterly reporting, and special projects; preparing thorough and complete analyses and reconciliations with appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines with professional follow-through and minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong communication skills.
- Self-starter with flexibility, desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, and taking ownership of projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player and collaborates well with other teams in the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Sage Intacct ERP experience is a plus.
- Renewable energy industry experience is a plus.
- CPA Certification is a plus but not required.
