SUMMARY Responsible for supporting the manager in billing optimization, fee agreement compliance, revenue recognition, financial controls, and data integrity. Ensures accurate payment processing, documentation, and reconciliations, while assisting with compliance and training initiatives across Accounting, Operations, and IT. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assists with billing processes, including installments, direct bill, agency bill, and multi-year billing structures. - Supports revenue recognition compliance by preparing documentation, reconciliations, and data checks to meet ASC 606 standards. - Provides compliance support through fee agreement tracking, premium finance monitoring, BSA filing coordination, and audit documentation. - Assists with financial control testing, evidence file maintenance, and remediation activities. - Assists with reconciling data across Epic and reporting systems; supports data validation and integrity checks. - Updates training materials, SOPs, and coordinates cross-functional training sessions. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field - Two (2) or more years experience in financial operations, accounting, or compliance support. Role Description Room to Read seeks a qualified consultant to conduct a qualitative analysis on the book publishing landscape in Senegal. The deliverable is producing a report that analyzes and summarizes results and findings obtained from collecting qualitative data on educational and book publishing policies, reports, statistics, and conducting informational interviews. Qualifications - A degree in education or a related field of study (Masters degree preferred); - Proven experience in conducting independent research through online investigations and interviews; - Knowledge and understanding of teaching methodologies, curriculum and teacher training at the primary school level in Senegal; - Understanding of gender-transformative and inclusive research methodologies, tools, and practices; - A background working with literacy, book publishing, and/or teaching reading, gender mainstreaming and transformative education programs, preferred; - In-depth knowledge and familiarity with the book publishing sector in Senegal an added advantage; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to write reports and present information; - Ability to work independently, with objectivity and pay attention to detail; - Currently living in Senegal, preferred.
