Role Description As Director, Strategic Finance, you will build and lead Slingshot’s financial planning and analysis function for the Engineering org, serving as a key strategic partner to the executive team. You’ll translate complex financial data into actionable insights, guide critical business decisions, and help scale the financial infrastructure needed to support rapid growth and capital strategy. Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It) - Strategic Planning & Leadership - Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long-range (3–5 year) planning, and rolling forecast processes for Engineering and Technology. - Partner with the CFO, CEO, and executive team to inform company-wide strategy and decision-making. - Develop and refine financial narratives for board meetings and investor communications. - Executive & Board Reporting - Deliver clear, data-driven insights through executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting. - Prepare materials for Board of Directors and investors, including variance analysis and forward-looking projections. - Business Partnership - Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Engineering. - Evaluate ROI on new initiatives, pricing strategies, and capital allocation decisions. - Drive accountability around budget management and operational efficiency. - Financial Modeling & Capital Strategy - Build and maintain complex financial models (including 3-statement models) to support scenario planning, M&A, and fundraising. - Support capital-raising efforts, including investor diligence and financial storytelling. - Operational Excellence & Systems - Own and optimize FP&A tools and systems (e.g., NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, Adaptive Planning). - Establish scalable processes for forecasting, reporting, and data integrity. - Lead cross-functional alignment between Finance, Accounting, and Operations. - Performance & Profitability Analysis - Define and track KPIs across SaaS and government contracting environments (e.g., ARR, burn, CAC, contract margins). - Conduct deep analysis on cost of delivery, gross margin, and contract profitability. - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, pricing, and overall financial performance. Qualifications - 6+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, or Strategic Finance roles. - Proven experience in high-growth B2B SaaS, aerospace, or defense environments. - Strong expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities. - Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes. - Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV) and/or government contracting principles (FAR, CAS). - Hands-on experience with NetSuite and FP&A planning tools. - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial concepts to executive stakeholders. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Role Description Room to Read seeks a qualified consultant to conduct a qualitative analysis on the book publishing landscape in Senegal. The deliverable is producing a report that analyzes and summarizes results and findings obtained from collecting qualitative data on educational and book publishing policies, reports, statistics, and conducting informational interviews. Qualifications - A degree in education or a related field of study (Masters degree preferred); - Proven experience in conducting independent research through online investigations and interviews; - Knowledge and understanding of teaching methodologies, curriculum and teacher training at the primary school level in Senegal; - Understanding of gender-transformative and inclusive research methodologies, tools, and practices; - A background working with literacy, book publishing, and/or teaching reading, gender mainstreaming and transformative education programs, preferred; - In-depth knowledge and familiarity with the book publishing sector in Senegal an added advantage; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to write reports and present information; - Ability to work independently, with objectivity and pay attention to detail; - Currently living in Senegal, preferred. Role Description As an Senior Financial Planning Analyst at Gainwell, you will work closely with the various finance and corporate FP&A teams interacting with various finance VPs on a regular basis supporting the monthly forecasting, close and budgeting processes in a variety of ways. The analyst will have regular interaction with both technical teams and financial teams around the company, making this a unique and interesting position. This position provides a unique opportunity for someone who can both provide deep technical analysis as well as efficiently and effectively communicate with a broader team. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. - Create, manage and maintain the finance forecast calendar and timelines, working with Corp FP&A to develop plans and timelines for the regular update of the forecast as well as the annual budgeting team. - Co-ordinate with the Enterprise Application team on job cycles, snapshots and production deployment. - Perform complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling at the corporate level, supporting the corporate consolidation of the forecast and budget. - Support development, enhancement and system performance of Anaplan financial modules as part of the business finance process ownership team, including user acceptance testing, business requirement development and troubleshooting. - Assist in the development of financial templates as needed and the implementation, communication and consolidation of the data. - Support the FP&A teams in ensuring our forecast is complete, accurate and consistent, reviewing various aspects of the forecast/budget to ensure that various requirements are met correctly. - Manage various processes to ensure completeness of the forecast including management reporting adjustments, hierarchy reviews, and overall model hygiene.
