This is a structural translation role. The Process Systems Mapper translates real operational activity into structured process maps that reflect roles, steps, handoffs, and decision points. The role extends from process mapping and validation through identification of gaps and improvement opportunities to SOP creation. The output becomes the company's working view of process reality. This is not traditional documentation, passive note-taking, or process design. This is real-time structural translation. The candidate must be able to convert messy conversations into clear systems, work comfortably with ambiguity and incomplete information, and distinguish between observing a process and redesigning it. This is a full-time, remote engagement with an initial term of 90 days, with potential extension to 6 months and possible conversion to permanent hire. This role reports to the Chief of Staff in the CEO Office and is embedded within the PMO. Job duties include, but are not limited to: - Map current-state processes based on how work is actually performed - Create and maintain clear visual process flows including roles, steps, handoffs, and decision points - Update process maps in real time during or immediately after working sessions - Ensure visual consistency and clarity across all mapped processes - Identify and surface gaps, ambiguity, breakdown points, and workarounds - Translate process discussions into structured, usable representations - Validate mapped processes with team members to ensure accuracy - Maintain alignment between process maps and active operations - Organize process maps into a coherent structure across lanes and process groups - Develop SOPs after processes are clearly defined and validated - Support PMO and Chief of Staff by making process flows visible and actionable This role does NOT design or own process decisions, determine process improvements or policy changes, set priorities or direct execution, configure systems or software, or act as a consultant redefining how the business should operate. Leidos is seeking a Systems Analyst/Planner to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Headquarters in Washington D.C. This is a virtual position and the candidate may live anywhere within the United States. Telework is 100% with business travel estimated at to 5% – 10%. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the customer with strategic and tactical planning, monitoring, and evaluating progress, and providing advice and support. Over time, the candidate will become more involved with other AJW-242 programs.
