Role Description Stefanini Group is seeking to welcome skilled Senior Application Platform Engineers to strengthen our Application Technical Management Operations (ATM) team within our Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Cluster. The role provides Level 3 (L3) expert support across a broad portfolio of middleware and application platforms hosting the customer's business applications. This role is a key technical position focused on day-to-day operations, stability, and continuous improvement of these application platforms. The Senior Application Platform Engineer will act as the highest escalation point for complex incidents and problems, lead platform lifecycle activities (upgrades, patching, performance tuning), and contribute to platform improvement initiatives - including automation, monitoring, and operational standardization across the supported application landscape. The ideal candidate combines strong middleware and application platform skills, structured troubleshooting at L3 level, and the ability to work in a structured operational environment (ITIL / managed services with SLA commitments). Hands-on experience with at least one of the critical applications listed above is required; the broader the exposure across middleware and enterprise application platforms, the better. A commitment to availability for on-call rotation for critical incidents is essential. Additionally, participation in planned maintenance windows, which may occur during evenings or weekends is necessary to ensure timely response and support when required. The position is offered on an employment contract basis. Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience operating middleware and application platforms at L3 / engineer level. - Strong middleware administration background: Apache Tomcat, JBoss, IIS (WebLogic / WebSphere is a plus). - Strong Windows Server administration; working knowledge of Linux. - Ability to read and analyze Java thread dumps and heap dumps, IIS and middleware logs, database deadlock traces. - Application-layer database experience (SQL Server / Oracle): schemas, accounts, query behavior. - Hands-on experience planning and executing major upgrades end-to-end (pre-checks, change ticket, rollout, validation, rollback). - Experience working in production environments with uptime and SLA commitments. - The ATM skillset above is the primary requirement; broader portfolio experience across other middleware-hosted enterprise applications is also valued. Requirements - Proven ability to operate as Level 3 support, including deep troubleshooting, structured root cause analysis, ownership until resolution. - Ability to communicate clearly with customers (technical and non-technical stakeholders), internal teams (L1/L2, architects, project teams, vendors). - Strong documentation discipline and operational mindset. - Ability to mentor L2 administrators and contribute to knowledge transfer. - Calm and structured behavior during major incidents. - Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. - Availability for on-call responsibilities, extended hours, and participation in planned maintenance windows - which may occur during evenings or weekends with shifts rotated among team members. Benefits - Diversity and Inclusion: We value diversity and equity, regardless of race, sexual orientation, disability, age, ancestry, religion, gender, or nationality. - Encouragement of self-expression in a safe environment. Company Description Stefanini is a Brazilian multinational company with 38 years of experience and presence in 41 countries. With more than 35,000 employees, we co-create solutions for a better future, driving digital transformation with a focus on real results. - We operate in an integrated way through 7 specialized business units: Consulting (Technology and Business Agility), Analytics & AI, Banking & Payments, Cybersecurity, Manufacturing 4.0, and Digital Marketing. - We are a group that breathes collaboration and offers a dynamic environment where you will learn by doing, grow alongside the team, and have space to contribute with ideas and projects.
