Role Description Fennemore is looking for a full-time REMOTE Systems Engineer I to join our growing firm. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the administration, reliability, and performance of the firm’s core technology systems, including network infrastructure, cloud services, and applications. This role owns system operations and performance, understands how systems, data, and applications interact, and maintains deep knowledge of assigned systems while independently resolving complex issues and contributing to projects that improve stability and efficiency. Systems are maintained in alignment with firm security standards. As a Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will be: - Administers core systems: network infrastructure, cloud services, applications, identity, and Windows environments - Monitors system health and resolves system, application, and infrastructure issues, including Help Desk escalations - Performs system administration (Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, patching, updates, access controls, vulnerability remediation with Security) - Supports platform services (M365, endpoint management, backup, recovery, monitoring) - Supports implementation, integration, and maintenance of technology solutions - Utilizes scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to improve efficiency and consistency - Manages certificates and encryption configurations across systems and applications - Supports remote access and connectivity (virtual desktop, ZTNA) - Supports email and collaboration platforms (mail flow, routing, policy management, security) - Supports infrastructure platforms (networking, compute, storage) based on team alignment - Participates in system and application projects (deployments, upgrades, enhancements) - Ensures system performance and availability across all offices - Maintains configurations, standards, security practices, and documentation - Collaborates with IT team members and stakeholders - May be aligned to Applications or Infrastructure teams As part of our commitment to collaboration and excellence, this role requires flexibility in daily work schedules during periods of high workload, adherence to departmental and Firm goals and policies, and performance of other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization. Responsible for integrity and accuracy of technology used in the medication management. Candidates with compounding outpatient pharmacy experience are highly desired, as this role will be responsible for EPIC system builds for oral suspension medications. This position primarily works remotely, with occasional on-site responsibilities to attend collaborative meetings.
