Title: Workday Integrations Developer Location: Remote, California, USA Category: Engineering Job Description: The opportunity Unity is seeking a skilled and experienced Workday Integrations Developer to join our Enterprise Applications team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-scale integrations within the Workday ecosystem, with a particular focus on migrating existing integrations from legacy platforms and third-party tools into Workday-native solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert on integration architecture, collaborating closely with Finance, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow across Unity's enterprise applications. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a builder who thrives in complexity, can navigate a large and evolving integration landscape, and is passionate about delivering scalable, reliable, and well-documented solutions. What you'll be doing - Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise integrations using Workday tools, including Workday Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors, and RaaS/BIRT reports - Lead and execute the migration of existing integrations from iPaas-based middleware to Workday-native integration frameworks - Assess, document, and rationalize Unity's existing integration landscape to identify consolidation and optimization opportunities - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate complex business requirements into robust integration design specifications - Build and maintain integrations supporting Payroll, Finance, and third-party vendor systems (e.g., CloudPay, Workiva, Okta, Salesforce) - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration failures in production environments with minimal disruption to business operations - Define and enforce integration development standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the team - Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure integrations adhere to data governance, privacy, and access control requirements - Participate in Workday release cycles, assessing impact on existing integrations and coordinating regression testing and remediation - Contribute to project planning, estimation, and sprint execution in an Agile delivery model What we're looking for - 8 to 10+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Workday integrations in a large enterprise environment - Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to integration migration initiatives — moving integrations from tools such as MuleSoft, Workato, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, or similar into Workday - Strong proficiency with Workday integration tools, including Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI, RaaS, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) - Solid understanding of Workday data model and object structure across Financials, and/or Payroll modules - Experience with XML, XSLT, and JSON for data transformation and mapping - Ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous integration challenges while communicating progress and blockers clearly to stakeholders - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging and root cause analysis - Excellent documentation habits — you write integration specs, runbooks, and postmortems that others can actually use You might also have - Workday Pro certification in Integrations - Experience integrating Workday with platforms such as Salesforce, Coupa, Workiva, CloudPay, and Okta. - Familiarity with iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato), which may be part of Unity's broader integration ecosystem - Experience working in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements - Exposure to Workday Extend or Prism Analytics - Background in Finance systems administration, in addition to integration development Additional information - Relocation support is not available for this position - Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position Benefits At Unity, we want our team members to thrive.
