Role Description Our synergetic Ethos IT Team is growing and seeking a full-time AI Solution Architect (REMOTE) to design, implement, and scale enterprise-level artificial intelligence solutions within the insurance claims space. This role will focus on building cloud-based AI systems on AWS, driving innovation across claims automation, fraud detection, and operational efficiency, while ensuring strict compliance with data privacy regulations. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on AI professional who thrives in agile environments and collaborates effectively across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and explainable solutions that drive performance, accuracy, and customer trust. Key Responsibilities - AI Solution Architecture: Design and implement scalable AI and machine learning solutions using AWS (including Amazon Bedrock) to support claims processing, automation, and fraud detection. - Data Privacy & Compliance: Ensure all AI systems adhere to regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI DSS), with proper handling of PII and PHI. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders in an agile (Scrum) environment to deliver sprint objectives and production-ready solutions. - Model Deployment & MLOps: Build and maintain data pipelines, deployment frameworks, and monitoring systems to support continuous model improvement. - Business Translation: Convert business needs and compliance requirements into effective, scalable AI system designs. - AI Governance: Provide guidance on responsible AI practices, model governance, and data lifecycle management. - Enterprise Alignment: Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with existing data architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security frameworks. Qualifications - Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field (preferred). Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education. - Experience: - Minimum of 10+ years of experience in AI system design, cloud architecture, or enterprise software engineering (required). - Strong hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services, including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and API Gateway (required). - Strong experience deploying AI/ML models into production environments (required). - Extensive hands-on experience developing using Agentic AI IDEs such as Kiro and/or Claude Code (required). - Experience in insurance, claims, or investigative services (preferred). - Experience working with sensitive data environments (e.g., HIPAA and PCI DSS). - Certifications: AWS Certified Database Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect (preferred). - Skills: - Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. - Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation). - Strong understanding of data pipelines, model deployment, and performance monitoring. - Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI system designs. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Working Conditions This is a primarily remote position working in a home office environment, with a preference for candidates able to work within Eastern or Central Time Zone business hours. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing while operating a computer and other office equipment. Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays. Frequent communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is expected.
