Job Title: AI Software Engineer (Marketing Automation & Internal Tools) Location: Remote Working Hours: US Hours - EST Contract Type: Full-Time About the Role Our client is a fast-growing marketing agency serving over 150 home service businesses. They focus on performance-driven campaigns and are heavily investing in AI and automation to improve lead generation, tracking, and operational efficiency. They are now looking to bring in a hands-on AI Software Engineer to build and scale their internal systems. This is a builder role, not a strategy-only position. You will be responsible for developing internal tools, integrating AI into workflows, and improving how the agency operates across marketing, data, and client servicing. You’ll work directly with the leadership team, media buyers, and operators to turn ideas into working systems—fast. Key Responsibilities 1. Internal Tool Development (Primary Focus) - Build and deploy internal tools using Next.js, React, and Python - Develop dashboards, automations, and operational systems - Replace manual processes with scalable solutions 2. Marketing Data & Tracking Infrastructure - Implement and optimize Meta Pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) - Ensure accurate attribution and conversion tracking - Build reporting pipelines and performance dashboards 3. AI Integration & Workflow Automation - Integrate AI tools into marketing and operational workflows - Build systems such as: - Automated ad brief generators - AI-driven lead scoring models - Competitive intelligence tools - Work with APIs from tools like OpenAI and other AI platforms 4. Platform Integration - Connect and manage systems including: - GoHighLevel - Meta Business Suite - Close CRM - Build automations across platforms to streamline operations 5. • Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise integrations using Workday tools, including Workday Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors, and RaaS/BIRT reports • Lead and execute the migration of existing integrations from iPaas-based middleware to Workday-native integration frameworks • Assess, document, and rationalize Unity's existing integration landscape to identify consolidation and optimization opportunities • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate complex business requirements into robust integration design specifications • Build and maintain integrations supporting Payroll, Finance, and third-party vendor systems (e.g., CloudPay, Workiva, Okta, Salesforce) • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration failures in production environments with minimal disruption to business operations • Define and enforce integration development standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the team • Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure integrations adhere to data governance, privacy, and access control requirements • Participate in Workday release cycles, assessing impact on existing integrations and coordinating regression testing and remediation • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and sprint execution in an Agile delivery model

• Design and own mobile application architecture in React Native, from core foundations to production • Make architecture decisions independently, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability • Build and maintain backend services in Node.js that support mobile product functionality • Design and work with SQL databases, especially Postgres, with strong attention to data modeling, performance, and maintainability • Define scalable engineering patterns across mobile, backend, and API integration layers • Own application quality standards across architecture, code structure, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience • Define technical direction, not just implementation details • Set and enforce quality standards across both AI-generated and manually written code • Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical solutions • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications • Collaborate directly with clients to ensure smooth communication and strong understanding of requirements • Contribute to system design, performance strategy, testing strategy, and engineering productivity • Operate in an AI-first workflow without compromising engineering standards
