Responsibilities - Serve as the primary technical advisor supporting enterprise accounts throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth territory. - Partner with Territory Managers to identify, qualify, and advance strategic sales opportunities through closure. - Design and present end-to-end networking architectures aligned to customer business objectives. - Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, executive presentations, and customer strategy discussions. - Build technology roadmaps for assigned customers focused on modernization, growth, and digital transformation. - Deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs), demonstrations, and solution validations that showcase HPE Networking value. - Position HPE Networking solutions against competitive offerings and clearly articulate key differentiators. - Develop proposals, statements of work, and technical responses for complex opportunities and RFPs. - Collaborate with channel partners, resellers, and alliance teams to expand pipeline and accelerate revenue growth. - Maintain accurate opportunity support, forecast alignment, and technical engagement activity within the territory. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute leadership across the broader systems engineering organization. - Stay current on emerging technologies, market trends, and HPE Networking innovations. Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. - 10+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, systems engineering, network architecture, or technical consulting roles. - Proven experience supporting enterprise sales teams in quota-driven environments. - Strong background in large strategic account management and customer-facing technical sales engagements. - Experience designing and selling complex networking solutions across multiple product portfolios. - Experience working with channel partners, VARs, and strategic alliances preferred. - Industry certifications such as Aruba, HPE, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent preferred. - Must reside in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and be open to travel up to approximately 40%–60% within the territory. Knowledge and Skills - Deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless LAN, NAC, and network security. - Strong Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking expertise required. - Knowledge of cloud-managed networking, SASE, SD-WAN, automation, and AI-driven operations platforms preferred. - Ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable business value for customers. - Strong consultative selling and solution positioning skills. - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across all organizational levels. - Executive presence and confidence presenting to CIOs, CTOs, and senior leadership teams. - Strong competitive acumen with experience displacing incumbent vendors. - Ability to work independently while collaborating across matrixed internal teams. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges. - Customer-first mindset with urgency, accountability, and strong follow-through.
