Role Description The Staff Analytics Engineer contributes to the creation and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse that will support all reporting and analytic functions at the company. This position analyzes, tests, and implements ELT, connections, and extracts supporting various business applications. - Design and implement data pipeline solutions - Recommend tools and processes to maximize value - Ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality - Automate data pipelines and data quality checks - Lead efforts focusing on cost optimization for data pipeline and warehouse consumption - Provide mentorship and coaching to Analytics Engineers and Senior Analytics Engineers - Work closely with the Data Architect to ensure data pipeline can feed and support data mart structure - Ensure standardization of coding practices and adherence to coding standards and change control - Ensures security policies are followed in relations to HIPAA compliance and company standards - All other duties as assigned Qualifications - 5 years Database SQL development (Snowflake/Oracle preferred) - Ability to create and tune highly complex SQL queries - 5 years ETL/ELT/Reverse ETL data integration experience - Excellent knowledge creating and analyzing ETL and other data integrations - Experience with modern data pipeline tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt, Prefect, Luigi, etc.) - 1-2 years’ experience in Snowflake or cloud data warehouse platform (Redshift, Databricks, Firebolt) required - Advanced education/training in database development required - Knowledge of ER diagrams, data flow diagrams, and normalization techniques - Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Qlik, SAS, Tableau, Looker, etc.) - Experience in Snowflake required - Inquisitive and willing to learn business processes and innovative technologies - Team player with strong interpersonal skills - Experience mentoring and coaching other team members required Requirements Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $132,000 - $165,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The final salary offered to the selected candidate may vary from the posted range due to individual qualifications.
