Role Description The Field Service, System, and Applications position within the service organization is an ambassador of Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Division. This technical role is responsible for customer direct post-sale instrumentation and application support including: - Installation, basic user and application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, and post-sale developed applications support. - Customer focused with strong industry background and technical experience capable of independent judgement. Essential Functions: - Install and qualify Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology instruments, upgrades, and/or accessories including: - Unpack and setup metrology equipment and instrumentation and interconnection of sub-components and assemblies. - Independently troubleshoot and overcome a wide range of start-up issues using creative solutions. - Qualification of the instrument and accessories using standard customer samples. - Work directly with customers to diagnose Bruker instrument issues including: - Diagnose, research, experiment, test, develop, optimize, communicate, and execute the most efficient solution plan for complex electro mechanical hardware/software instrument issues. - Form and drive team of senior internal and external personnel for complex issues using engineering problem solving methods (8D, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa diagrams, etc.). - Create and maintain record of activity in support database. - Preventative maintenance on Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology instruments including: - Basic maintenance and calibration of instrument and accessories. - Re-certification of instrument using both Bruker and customer samples. - Empower customers to optimize performance of their Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology instruments through support and instruction including: - Teaching Theory of operation and training new users on instrument operation. - Demonstration of instrument ability on Bruker or customer samples. - Provide post-sale user and application training and support samples. - Work with customer on in-depth application needs and locate potential new applications. - Establish and enhance customer relations and drive additional Bruker business including service products. Environmental Requirements: - Travel both domestically and internationally for both training and customer support as needed. - Able to work in Government sites, Semiconductor cleanroom, production floor, & laboratory environments. - Must have & maintain valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Customer focused, passionate about science and technology. - Basic understanding of semiconductor processing and the integral role of metrology equipment. - Proven understanding of engineering problem solving methods, statistical process control, and Gauge repeatability and reproducibility calculations. - Proven experience of analytical capability, theoretical understanding of physics, working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, and common tooling. - Proven experience to independently provide clear, logical, and effective communication. - Proven experience to develop, communicate, implement, and execute assigned projects including achieving required deliverables on time. Qualifications - Minimum of doctorate degree, PhD, in scientific or engineering field from accredited university or college, or master’s degree in scientific or engineering field from accredited university or college with 3 years relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering field from accredited university or college with 5 years relevant experience. - US Citizenship or Permanent Residence. Requirements - Base salary range for this full-time position is between $64,800 and $115,500. - Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits. Retail Merchandisers maintain card departments and outposts for both every day and seasonal products. In addition, they participate in installation activities which include building Hallmark fixtures, moving card departments, installing new stores, store relocations, and card department remodels. SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS - Your starting hourly pay rate will be $19.00-$20.00 depending on your skills and experience. - We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands-on instruction as well as virtual classroom training. - Hallmark part time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision etc. - Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases. - This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week. - Average weekly hours for this position are between 10-15 hours per week. - Full availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends. - Availability to lead and or support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventories. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE You'll perform supervisory overview and assistance with service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The Territory Supervisor position consists of two major components: - Supervise and Manage Service: - Supervise a team of 5-10 Retail Merchandisers, ensuring well maintained departments and timely execution of everyday and seasonal programs. - Document and manage performance with manager feedback and input. - Handle retailer concerns, retail execution issues and retail merchandiser performance issues by working with store management, retail merchandisers and/or your manager. - Lead Department Remodels and Resets: - Prepare, direct and follow-up on minor installation which involve resetting product, building fixtures and merchandising product. - Lead or participate in major installations when business exceptions require additional support. - Major installations could involve moving the card department, building fixtures and merchandising product. In this role you must be able to motivate both in-person and remote teams, follow through on commitments, and lead by example in applying Hallmark’s best practices. You should excel at managing and leading others through change, delegate tasks when needed, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Being organized, managing time efficiently, and handling administrative duties are also key responsibilities, as well as building and maintaining strong customer relationships. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
