Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Denodo Developer – Data Integration. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. A Denodo Developer designs, develops, and maintains data virtualization solutions using the Denodo Platform, integrating data from multiple sources to deliver unified, efficient business data views. Core Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Denodo Views and data virtualization layers to unify data from diverse sources such as relational databases, cloud platforms, big data, and SaaS applications - Optimize query performance and tune the Denodo environment to ensure efficient data retrieval - Design and implement scheduling jobs within Denodo (e.g., Denodo Scheduler) to automate data workflows - Coordinate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analysts to gather requirements, analyze data needs, and design appropriate virtual data models - Develop new functionalities and maintain existing features on the Denodo platform, including writing automated tests and maintaining product documentation - Implement security protocols and access controls to protect data within the virtualization platform - Troubleshoot integration and data quality issues within the virtualized environment Required Skills and Qualifications - Proficiency with Denodo Platform, especially in developing data views and working within its virtualization environment - Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design; ability to write complex queries and perform data modeling - Experience with Java programming and object-oriented design principles - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and web technologies is advantageous - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and translate technical requirements - Experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, and familiarity with Agile software development methodologies - Certifications such as Denodo Platform Certified Developer, Administrator, or Architect are highly valued - Preferred experience includes working knowledge of web services (REST APIs), security protocols (OAuth, SAML), Snowflake Platform and integration with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI - Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in software development or specifically working with data virtualization tools - Prior experience with ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage) and data quality frameworks can be beneficial but not mandatory Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
