Every artifact has a version, an owner, and a history. - Release management: Coordinate and control releases across pods. Track what version of what is in which environment. Manage promotion from dev through staging to production. - Change control: Implement change tracking for all AI artifacts. Every change has a record — what changed, who changed it, who approved it, and why. Support audit and compliance requirements. - Rollback capability: Ensure every deployment can be reversed. Build and test rollback procedures so that when something goes wrong in production, recovery is a known process, not an improvisation. - CI/CD pipeline governance: Work with engineers to ensure build, test, and deployment pipelines enforce configuration controls automatically. Role Description What You'll Own: - System integrations: Design and build connections between the AI platform and enterprise systems — ERP (Oracle, IFS), data platforms (Snowflake), PLM, MES, CRM, and legacy databases. - API design and development: Build RESTful and event-driven APIs that expose enterprise data to AI services and deliver AI outputs to business applications. - Data flow architecture: Design the data pipelines that move information between systems — batch and real-time. - Integration reliability: Build monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery for integration points. - Security and compliance: Ensure all data flows meet access control, audit, and compliance requirements. What You Won't Own: - AI model development or prompt engineering — that's the AI Engineers' job. - Enterprise system administration — you integrate with systems, you don't manage them. - Platform architecture decisions — you implement the integration patterns the Lead Architect defines. Role Description The role involves designing and maintaining semantic schemas and knowledge graphs, integrating heterogeneous data sources, and managing ontology governance. - Domain ontologies: Design and maintain semantic schemas that describe key engineering and manufacturing entities — products, BOMs, plants, equipment, processes, work orders — and their relationships across systems. - Knowledge graphs: Implement ontologies using semantic web or graph technologies (RDF/OWL/SHACL/SPARQL or property-graph equivalents like Neo4j). Build, query, validate, and tune knowledge graphs in production. - Data alignment: Integrate heterogeneous data sources — PLM, ERP, MES, CMMS, QMS, data lakes — into a common vocabulary. Align schemas, code sets, and master data to the ontology so AI services see one coherent picture. - Semantic layer: Design the enterprise semantic layer that BI tools, analytics platforms, and AI/LLM applications query consistently. Define core business entities, metrics, and hierarchies and map them to existing data stores. - Ontology governance: Manage versioning, documentation, reuse of industry standards, and enforcement of modeling best practices across pods. Your ontologies are shared assets — they must be maintainable by others. - What You Won't Own: - AI model development or prompt engineering — you provide the data substrate, the AI engineers build on it. - Enterprise system administration — you integrate data from systems, you don't manage them. - Business process decisions — Domain SMEs and the Product Owner define what matters; you model it. - What Makes This Role Different: - Your ontologies directly feed AI systems that make real business decisions.
