Psychiatrist, Collaborative Physician (MD)

• Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients via telemedicine. • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, including prescribing medication when clinically appropriate. • Provide supervision and oversight to Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in states requiring collaborative agreements. • Complete required chart reviews and provide timely consultation support to NPs. • Maintain responsiveness for collaboration duties in accordance with state requirements and UpLift standards. • Coordinate care with UpLift’s network of therapists and other providers to ensure high-quality outcomes. • Provide empathetic, evidence-based care while upholding UpLift’s clinical and service standards. • Share product and workflow feedback with UpLift’s engineering and operations teams to help improve care delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Board-certified Psychiatrist with active clinical experience.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license(s) in one or more of the following priority states: Virginia, Texas, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina.
  • Multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
  • Experience supervising or collaborating with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (e.g. NPs) is preferred.
  • Comfortable prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by state law.
  • Skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver virtual care.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide timely consultation support.
  • Previous telemedicine experience is a plus.
