What does this role look like? As a Loads & Dynamics Engineer supporting FBM D5LE2 , you will play a critical role in ensuring spacecraft and flight hardware can withstand the extreme environments of launch and spaceflight. In this role, you will: - Perform structural dynamics analysis for spacecraft flight hardware operating in demanding launch and space environments - Develop and maintain analytical models using in-house and commercial software (such as Abaqus, NX/Nastran, ADAMS, Wave6) to simulate vibration, shock, and mechanical loading conditions - Produce and maintain models generated from both in-house and commercially available software codes, that simulate mechanical loading conditions, mechanism deployment motions, and the response behavior of missile segment and spacecraft separation events. - Conduct loads development at the component, subsystem, and system level - Evaluate dynamic environments including shock, vibration, and mechanism motion - Analyze test data and document results in clear technical reports and presentations - Define and integrate structural and dynamic requirements into the system baseline - Present technical findings at design reviews, technical interchange meetings, engineering review boards, and test readiness reviews - Have the ability to work on a multi-disciplined team performing structural design trades, preliminary and detailed design/analysis activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational systems. - Perform loads development (primary structure and component level), shock and vibration environments determination and component and system level testing and data evaluation. - Prepare test plans; static, separation dynamics, vibration, modal and shock test execution, and post-test reports. You will be an important part of our product development team, where effective communication is critical. - Support dynamic test definitions, requirements development, test monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis efforts.
