Bright Path
• This role supports multiple HR projects simultaneously and requires strong time management and independent work within limited weekly hours • Support the Senior HR Director on each project in HR implementation and communication and best ministry practices for clients • Attend some client meetings with the Senior HR Director and develop a strong understanding of the client’s organization and culture • Provide Senior HR Generalist support on all HR Programs as needed: Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding Compensation & Benefits Training and Development Performance Management Manager and employee engagement Policies and compliance Christian ministry guidance HRIS implementation Other programs as needed • Always be curious and learning about clients and different HR approaches • Provide a positive and professional representation of Bright Path HR / Ministry HR Group with clients as needed • Create content for the centralized HR Toolkit • Participate in Bright Path HR/Ministry HR Group meetings and community • Manage or perform special HR projects as needed.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role
- Experience working with Christian ministries, churches or faith-based non-profit organizations strongly preferred because of the focus on Statement of Faith alignment, Biblical conduct, ministerial exceptions, deputized fundraising, sabbatical leave, parsonage compensation, global worker member care, values-aligned health benefit programs
- A degree or certificate in Human Resources, or equivalent HR experience
- Ability to hold a current US-based Professional HR certification within 2 years of start date (SHRM or HRCI preferred)
- Proven ability to support every area of HR
- Ability to work on HR programs with minimal supervision; must have excellent judgement and discernment in Employee Relations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients under the Director’s guidance
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage a diverse set of projects, tight timelines and limited hours
- Ability to consistently provide high quality, detailed and accurate work product
- Ability to focus on extremely confidential, sensitive and emotional issues for several hours at a time
- Ability to focus on and analyze large spreadsheets, databases and reports of complex data for several hours at a time
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and multiple HRIS systems
- Ability to demonstrate positive and professional behavior in every situation
- Ability to incorporate Biblical principles and faith-based perspectives when advising Christian ministry clients.
- Ability to consistently maintain a professional, undisturbed remote home office in the state of Texas.

Location: Remote within U.S. Department: Human Resources / Total Rewards Summary of Role: The Senior HRIS Specialist plays a critical role in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the annual Open Enrollment (OE) process. In addition to Open Enrollment delivery, this role is responsible for HR system integrations and serves as a system administrator for the Employee Relations and Rewards & Recognition platforms.
