Solution Engineer — Mid-Level Post-Sales Implementation & Internal Tools The Opportunity You’ll be the technical backbone of our customer success operation. Partner with Onboarding Managers on new client implementations—you own the technical workstream while they manage the project and relationship. Your work directly determines whether clients go live cleanly, understand our platform, and deploy Ad Orbit/Astro AI effectively. This is hands-on, high-impact technical delivery. You’re a self-starter who owns your work product and outcomes. You don’t wait for direction—you assess what needs to happen and make it happen. You’ll take initiative to improve processes, push back when something isn’t right, and drive solutions to completion. The Project Ad Orbit, built by Aysling, is a contract-to-cash platform purpose-built for media publishers. We automate the commercial workflows that consume publishers' time—billing, revenue recognition, deal management—so they can focus on their core business. Independent and mid-market media companies rely on us to run their operations efficiently and build sustainable revenue models. Your Responsibilities - Lead data import workflows for customers migrating to our CRM, OMS, and Billing platform—field mapping, data cleansing, import validation, and exception resolution. - Translate complex financial workflows (chart of accounts, revenue recognition, period close) into Ad Orbit configurations aligned to GAAP standards. - Support customers in accessing and using the Ad Orbit data warehouse—help them understand their data structure and answer data-related questions. MySQL familiarity is a plus. - Troubleshoot API integrations—read documentation, test endpoints, and diagnose failures across client-connected systems. - Build implementation documentation, field mapping specs, and client-facing technical guides. - Identify recurring implementation patterns and contribute to process improvements and internal tooling. How You’ll Spend Your Time - 60–70% client-facing: Assisting with in-progress customer implementations, data migrations, integration setup, templates, and configurations. - 30–40% internal tooling & documentation: Building internal tools and automation to support customer work. Over the next 2–3 months, we’re overhauling our support infrastructure—you’ll play a central role in making that happen. What We’re Looking For Financial Systems - Hands-on experience implementing or configuring ERP, CRM, OMS, or financial management software. - Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles—chart of accounts, AR/AP, revenue recognition, period-end close. - Ability to map client financial workflows to system configuration with minimal guidance. Technical Skills - Experience leading data migrations—defining field mappings, validating imports, handling exceptions at scale. - Familiarity with REST APIs—reading documentation, testing endpoints, debugging integration issues. - Comfortable supporting client use of a data warehouse environment. MySQL query skills are a plus. - Ability to write or modify scripts (Python, Bash, or similar) for data transformation or automation tasks. AI Fluency - You use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) as a genuine productivity multiplier, not just occasionally. - You can speak to specific ways you’ve applied AI in past roles: accelerating data mapping, generating transformation scripts, drafting client documentation, or debugging integrations faster. - Bonus: experience using AI to support customer data migrations—cleaning messy source data, generating field mapping suggestions, or automating repetitive validation steps. - Curiosity about how AI can improve implementation workflows—and a track record of actually trying things. Professional Qualities - Communicates complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Manages multiple concurrent client projects without dropping detail. - Escalates early and with context—not a problem-holder. - Self-directed on ambiguous problems with a bias toward resolution. Nice to Have - Prior experience with ad tech, media, or publishing ERP platforms. - Exposure to SaaS implementation methodology (project scoping, SOWs, change management). - Experience working in a lean, fast-moving team environment. Your Path Forward You’ll report directly to our Managing Director. This role is a launchpad. The natural next step is Director of Client Engagement, where you’d oversee all aspects of customer work—implementation, support, training, product development, and onboarding strategy. We grow our leadership from people who understand the work, execute with excellence, and show initiative. If you’re interested in owning meaningful work and building something at a lean, high-execution company, this role is for you. #Aysling
