Job Description About the Role: The React Native Engineer plays a critical role in delivering innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business by greatly contributing to the technical direction and execution of our mobile retail banking applications. What you will be doing: - Develop mobile applications within the Digital domain, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and regulatory requirements. - Implement scalable, robust, and maintainable mobile application code that supports a wide range of financial services and functionalities. - Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, QA and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement technical solutions. - Support transition of Angular Ionic codebase to React Native. - Lead by example: implement complex features with excellent code quality and ensure that critical customer-impacting issues are remediated with urgency. - Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to developers to ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices. - Accept and address code review feedback on your own code contributions. - Provide feedback, if requested, on proposed third-party tools, frameworks, and APIs, considering factors such as security, performance, and scalability. - Support continuous improvement / delivery initiatives in mobile application development processes, tooling, and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and time-to-market. - Communicate complex technical concepts and technical decisions effectively to stakeholders, including peers, team members and senior management. - Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the FinTech sector, and incorporate changes into the mobile application as needed. What you bring: - Substantial experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, particularly within the financial technology (FinTech) domain. - Strong proficiency in React Native, Angular and Ionic Capacitor - Understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture). - Experience transitioning a codebase from Angular Ionic to React Native would be a huge positive. - Knowledge of secure coding practices, encryption algorithms, and data protection mechanisms relevant to handling sensitive financial data in mobile applications. - Scale the application to handle a large user base, considering various devices and network conditions. - Familiarity with backend technologies, APIs, and microservices architecture, enabling seamless integration between apps and backend systems. - Experience in performance measurement and optimization in mobile applications to ensure optimal user experience, reliability and responsiveness. - Understanding of financial services industry regulations, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and security standards related to mobile app development. - Knowledge of financial products, payment systems, banking protocols, and industry trends, enabling the design of mobile applications that meet user needs and regulatory guidelines. - Experience working on FinTech projects such as mobile banking apps, investment platforms, payment gateways, or financial analytics tools, with a focus on usability, security, and innovation. - Experience building a white label mobile application that is branded and released for multiple clients. - Experience collaborating with India-based development teams - Preferred degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar relevant field - Commitment to software engineering principles and processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement.
