Human Resource Director

• Serve as the primary HR leader for the organization’s global workforce, owning end-to-end HR operations. • Own and execute day-to-day HR delivery for the global workforce, including employee relations, performance management support, policy application, manager coaching, and HR systems administration. • Partner with managers across all regions to provide practical, compliant, and business-aligned people guidance in a remote-first environment. • Coordinate and oversee global people operations across Canada, France, and Mexico, leveraging local advisors, PEOs, or Employer of Record partners for jurisdiction-specific compliance and administration. • Translate People strategy into scalable execution, leading or contributing to cross-functional people initiatives that improve consistency, manager effectiveness, and organizational performance as the company grows.
Job Requirements
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in US employment practices (multi-state environment required).
- Exposure to supporting international or multi-country workforces, with the ability to partner effectively with local compliance resources and external advisors
- Experience acting as a standalone or lead HR owner, comfortable operating independently with full accountability for HR outcomes..
- Strong experience with HR systems and tools (HRIS, payroll, benefits platforms, performance management tools), and the ability to manage execution end-to-end.
- Demonstrated ability to build and operate practical, right-sized HR infrastructure for a startup or growth-stage organization, prioritizing usability and impact over enterprise-scale complexity.
- Excellent soft skills, including sound judgment, executive presence, pragmatism, and the ability to build trust with leaders and employees in a distributed organization.
