IT Intern – Sourcing, Contracts & Third-Party Risk

• Support the SSM Sourcing team in managing the contract lifecycle, including document retention standards and administrative overhead. • Assist in the initial review and "redlining" of contracts, ensuring technical and legal requirements are captured accurately. • Help navigate the IT risk landscape by reviewing vendor assessments and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. • Assist in refining internal process workflows and utilizing contract management tools to improve team efficiency. • Shadows employees to understand different roles in the organization and gains familiarity with different healthcare IT systems. • Research and data gathering for key initiatives. • Collaborates with technical resources to perform root cause analysis and complete remediation of technology issues. • Collaborates on driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Development, or Project Management.
- Familiarity with basic contract structures and general legal principles.
- An interest in or basic understanding of the IT third-party risk landscape (e.g., data privacy, security certifications).
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with Sourcing, Legal, and Technical teams.
- The ability to stay engaged across multiple related work threads and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Google Office tools, including meetings, slides, and spreadsheets.
- Practical analytical and communication skills.
