What you'll do Solution to Value Alignment - Serve as the first Albert point of contact in the scientific deployment process, navigating ambiguous customer environments to define scope, surface priorities, and establish a clear path forward before formal delivery begins. - Design and deliver complex, enterprise-grade scientific solutions that translate customer R&D workflows into Albert OS, ensuring measurable value at each stage of the customer journey. - Act as a trusted scientific advisor to customer executives and technical stakeholders, shaping digital transformation strategy and aligning Albert's capabilities to long-term business goals. - Guide customers in mapping legacy tools and workflows into unified data workflows within Albert, including integrations with existing systems. - Identify and develop high-impact use cases early in the deployment cycle, translating complex scientific requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans. Business Case Analysis & Value Capture - Collaborate with sales and technical teams to craft compelling business cases, quantifying outcomes tied to cost savings, process efficiency, innovation speed, and risk reduction. - Translate customer R&D needs and pain points into actionable technical solutions aligned to business goals, relaying and prioritizing requirements to internal teams to drive timely delivery. - Drive platform adoption by demonstrating measurable success in both pre-sales and post-implementation contexts. - Partner with R&D and non-R&D customer teams to implement and scale successful pilots and deployments, connecting value to business goals across project types including innovation, product development, product maintenance, and operational excellence. You will have - Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline. - 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in chemical or materials R&D or digital transformation. - Experience in front-end innovation, product development, or R&D management, with familiarity moving from concept to market-ready product. - Deep understanding of how scientists conduct work across a range of laboratory settings, including familiarity with the systems and tools they rely on daily — such as electronic lab notebooks (ELN), laboratory information management systems (LIMS), inventory management platforms, analytical and process development workflows, and regulatory data systems. - Strong background in scientific coding with Python; AWS experience is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to engage at the executive level and navigate complex enterprise environments. - Proven track record of operating independently in ambiguous, early-stage customer engagements where scope and priorities must be defined from the ground up. - Experience leading change management within enterprise customer organizations. - Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with technical and non-technical audiences alike. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones. - Willingness and ability to travel 30–50% of the time, primarily within Europe, to support customer engagements and on-site deployments. Empathy: Strong active listening across multiple personas and cultures; able to understand and articulate customer needs at both the bench and the boardroom level. Leadership: Ability to lead initiatives and drive projects to completion with little or no oversight, including mentoring junior team members and raising overall team capability. Senior Solutions Architect, Government Partnerships
PropelHelping product companies collaborate smarter and move faster to better satisfy their customers and shareholders.
About Us Propel is on a mission to empower low-income Americans by simplifying access to government benefits with modern technology. We're a passionate team of 100 Propellers - all working to help our users get through the month, every month. About the Role We're looking for a Solutions Architect to bridge Propel's Government Partnerships team and our Product & Engineering organization - translating state partners' needs into product strategy, and then owning the delivery of that work with states. This role has the opportunity to shape the way our product evolves with deeper government partnerships and increase the value we’re able to deliver to both users and government partners. This is a hands-on IC role. You'll be the person writing the scoping doc, building the dashboard, sitting in the state meeting, configuring the campaign, and running the evaluation. You own both strategy and execution end to end. Over time, as this work scales, the role has potential to grow into a leadership position — but today we need someone who is excited about the execution. You'll work across the state partnership funnel, from early relationship-building through campaign delivery. You should be the kind of person who can walk into a meeting with a state SNAP agency, understand their operational pain points around payment error rates or portal access, walk out with a concrete plan that maps to Propel's product roadmap — and then go execute it. The role reports into our Government Partnerships team, with a dotted line to Product. Here's how you'll impact the company: - Be the product voice in state conversations. Prepare materials, present Propel's capabilities, and field technical questions from state partners directly. Translate what you learn into structured requirements and recommendations for product and engineering. - Own state campaign delivery end to end. - Define what Propel will deliver for each state engagement, write the scope-of-work, set up campaign infrastructure, monitor execution, run the evaluation, and fix what breaks. - Lean into AI-enablement to create more leverage for our partnerships work with less engineering support. - Make hands-on tradeoff decisions about when a state's needs warrant new product investment vs. existing capabilities — and when it's configuration work, do it yourself. - Feed the case management product roadmap. Synthesize patterns across engagements to surface common needs and platform gaps. Bring specific, evidence-based recommendations to PMs — not just "states want X," but "here's the pattern across three states, here's what a platform-level solution looks like, and here's the data." You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have - 5+ years bridging product/technical teams and external partners — solutions architecture, implementation/delivery leadership, technical program management, or product management in a B2G context. You should have direct experience working in or selling to state SNAP or Medicaid agencies. - Technical background – you’re comfortable getting in the weeds on how our tech stack operates to tackle questions around how we should integrate with state partners. You are comfortable reading API docs, translating technical documents for non-technical stakeholders and doing a first-draft estimate of complexity and scope for new tasks. - Familiarity with public benefits administration — SNAP, Medicaid, EBT, or adjacent programs. You understand (or can quickly learn) how state agencies work, what their incentives are, and why things like payment error rates and redetermination processes matter - The ability to operate across altitudes — presenting to a state CIO on Monday, speccing a campaign config on Tuesday, analyzing pilot results on Wednesday, drafting a SOW on Thursday - Strong product instincts — you can tell the difference between a state request that should become a platform feature and one that should stay a one-off. You know when to advocate for one-off investments because they are critical to the state pipeline, and when they should be left on the table. - Comfort with ambiguity — we're inventing a new model for how a consumer tech company partners with state agencies, and you'll be building the plane while flying it - Communication and data skills — clear writing, compelling decks, and enough SQL/analytics fluency to tell the story of a campaign's impact Bonus Points - Background in case management systems, benefits administration tech, or health plan operations - Previous experience as an engineer or technical PM - Experience with program evaluation — defining success metrics, measurement frameworks, and presenting results to government stakeholders At Propel, you'll enjoy: - Meaningful work and a strong shared sense of mission - Remote-friendly work environment with a dog-friendly office in Downtown Brooklyn. The team meets in-person for optional retreats. - 20 Days of PTO - 4% 401K match - $10k lifetime spend towards Carrot Fertility - Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision options - A strong equity package that reflects the leveling and anticipated impact of this role - Propel builds compensation bands referencing the 75th percentile of compensation for companies like us. Expected compensation for the role as scoped is $160,000 - $190,000 and will be based on how a candidate matches to our internal leveling guide. Additional Considerations: - We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and abilities. - Interview Accommodations: Propel is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the interview process. If you need accommodations due to a disability or medical condition (such as additional time or accessibility support), please let us know as early as possible so we can support you appropriately. - We're currently accepting applications from the states we have an established entity, which includes California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. - Background Check Requirement: For roles with access to confidential employee or customer information, a background check may be conducted following a conditional offer. All background checks are handled in accordance with applicable laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
