Meet the Team We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive - Public Sector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with government clients, delivering exceptional customer service, and managing accounts remotely with a high degree of organization and independence. You will serve as the key point of contact for your accounts, ensuring all aspects of the client relationship are managed effectively. Your Impact As a dynamic and passionate Account Executive, you will lead Cisco's sales strategy for State Government, focusing primarily on key state departments example education, health, Hospitals, Government Medical colleges, railways, airports, transportation, water, Urban local bodies, etc . This role goes beyond meeting sales targets; it is a strategic leadership position aimed at driving innovation, influencing digital transformation, and delivering impactful outcomes through Cisco's comprehensive technology portfolio. Key Responsibilities - Drive sales of Cisco's full suite of solutions, including Networking, Security, Collaboration, Cloud, and AI Infrastructure, along with associated services. - Develop and execute account strategies that align Cisco's capabilities with the state government's priorities, digital initiatives, and policy frameworks. - Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior state government stakeholders, becoming a strategic advisor and technology partner. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Systems Engineering, Architecture, Services, Renewals, Partners, and Commercial Finance-to deliver integrated, customer-centric solutions. - Act as the single point of accountability for account success, ensuring customer satisfaction, business growth, and compliance with state government standards and processes. Minimum Qualifications - 6+ years of strategic sales and technical experience, with a strong focus on State Government departments, demonstrating a consistent track record of revenue growth and long-term client engagement. - Deep understanding of State Government missions, procurement cycles, and decision-making processes, with the ability to align complex technology solutions to public sector goals. - Proven expertise in positioning and selling integrated technology solutions, including Data Center, Networking, Collaboration, and Cybersecurity, tailored to meet compliance and operational standards within government frameworks. - Proficient in using CRM tools such as Salesforce (SFDC) to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, track customer interactions, and drive data-informed sales strategies. - Strong consultative selling skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, influence, and close high-value opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction and strategic alignment.
