The Institute unites 16 centers and programs to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of heart and vascular conditions for all patients, from infants to those with advanced disease. The Quality Improvement Registered Nurse (QI RN) in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center (CVIC) is responsible for a comprehensive review of 100% of patient records for those who undergo procedures in the Cath/EP Lab. The role involves abstracting statistics and clinical data for both internal and external uses. Key Responsibilities: - Data Review and Abstraction: - Conduct thorough reviews of patient records in the CVIC. - Abstract and compile statistics and clinical data for internal databases and external registries. - Internal Data Management: - Utilize internal databases for generating volume/statistical reports and physician statistics. - Support privileging, recredentialing, and performance improvement committee reporting. - Contribute to Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) reviews. - External Data Submission: - Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services by submitting data to national and state registries. - Facilitate insurance contracting and comply with OPSHD State of CA reporting requirements. - Provide data for U.S. News and World Report. - Registry Management: - Enter abstracted data into various registries, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) NCDR data registries, the Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS) registries, and the California Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) Outcomes Reporting Program (CCORP). - Collaboration and Presentation: - Collaborate with the Document Management Specialist Supervisor and Heart Institute Managers. - Collect and prepare data for public reporting. - Present findings and data analyses in various settings. - Performance Improvement: - Actively participate in efforts to improve clinical outcomes and patient care quality within the CVIC.

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test procedures • Perform functional, regression, and scenario‑based testing across system updates and deployments • Validate software behavior across hybrid and on‑premises/cloud environments • Test system modifications and enhancements prior to implementation or release • Identify, analyze, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system • Clearly communicate defects, test results, and risk assessments to engineering stakeholders • Monitor defect resolution efforts and verify fixes through retesting • Maintain documentation and databases of known defects, test results, and quality metrics • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and customer scenarios • Plan and manage testing schedules aligned with project scope, priorities, and delivery timelines • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and strategies

• Define and execute comprehensive test suites for new features, regression, and integration testing across Unity mobile and backend systems • Build and maintain testing frameworks to ensure consistent and reproducible validation of new features and releases • Support release readiness reviews and post-deployment validation across production and staging environments • Clearly describe and log bugs including internal bug reports from playtesting and feedback sessions as well as reports coming from the community • Monitor, report, and triage defects and provide detailed diagnostics to assist engineers in root-cause analysis • Collaborate with engineers to identify test requirements and edge cases early in the development process • Validate data flow, API reliability, and UI performance across multiple environments • Test RESTful APIs using Postman, pytest, or Supertest • Debug issues end to end alongside engineers and communicate findings clearly

• Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to design effective test cases; • Create and maintain testing documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports); • Execute API testing, perform feature and regression testing on different stages, starting from business requests to full-scale production rollout; • Analyze reasons for the failed test, report issues, take corrective actions; • Participate in process improvements to increase the product's quality and the team's performance;
