Role Description The Endpoint Engineer II supports the operational administration and maintenance of enterprise endpoint management platforms. This role focuses on executing device deployments, application packaging, patch support, and configuration management while developing foundational PowerShell automation skills. - Assist in administration and maintenance of Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager (SCCM) platforms. - Create basic PowerShell scripts (50-100 lines) to reduce manual effort for repetitive operational tasks. - Execute monthly Windows security and application patch deployment cycles, including pre-deployment testing and post-deployment validation. - Maintain accurate documentation for endpoint standards, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Modify and execute existing PowerShell scripts for routine automation tasks under senior engineer guidance. - Monitor endpoint client health, software deployment status, and compliance reporting dashboards. - Participate in structured learning activities to develop advanced automation and platform engineering skills. - Support Windows OS imaging and Autopilot provisioning processes for new device deployments. Build, test, and deploy application packages (MSI, Win32, PowerShell scripts) following established standards. - Troubleshoot endpoint configuration and deployment issues using logs, diagnostic tools, and escalation procedures. Qualifications - 2-5 years of IT experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, or Endpoint Administration roles. - Basic PowerShell scripting skills: ability to read/modify existing scripts, understand variables, loops, and conditional logic. - Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11 in an enterprise environment (100+ devices). Strong troubleshooting methodology and documentation skills with attention to detail. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and/or Configuration Manager platforms. Requirements - May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. - Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. - Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. - Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/workday. - Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis. - Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday. - Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
