• Prepare/upload journal entries for balance sheet and expense accounts • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all reconciling items are valid and accounted properly • Lead the preparation, review, and posting of monthly accruals, including operating expenses, vendor liabilities, and recurring journal entries • Partner with the AP team to resolve discrepancies, improve workflows, and strengthen internal controls • Monitor invoice accruals versus actuals and provide insights to business partners on spending patterns • Perform monthly detailed variance analysis • Cross-train and backup other accounting staff • Assist Accounting Manager with month-end close/journal entry review • Participate in coordination of accounting deliverables related to planning, interim and year end audit process • Identify and participate in improvement of current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity • Assist with M&A accounting related activities • Ad hoc account analysis as needed to support business
Job Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in related position
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables and Google sheets
- Experience and understanding of accounting and ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
- Experience with accrual accounting and Accounts Payable systems and process flows, Coupa preferred
- Strong familiarity with month-end close and general ledger processes
- Large company, high transaction volume experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Observant and detail oriented
- Self-directed and highly responsive
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic. Collaborative working style with colleagues across the organization while confident to make and own critical decisions.

Consider risks and internal controls when participating in projects or when implementing or enhancing operational processes. Provide support for process and production issues for Corporate Reconciliation. Complete general ledger and internal Demand Deposit Account (DDA) reconciliations for various Bank applications.
