Solutions Engineer – Development Manager

• Develop and maintain comprehensive onboarding content and course creation that aligns with Solutions Engineering readiness to ensure new hires have a strong foundation for success. • Partner with and provide comprehensive support to new Solutions Engineers throughout their first 90 days of employment, encompassing all aspects of their role responsibilities and sales support. • Ensure all new Solutions Engineers have the essential knowledge and resources they need within their first year of employment. • Support the creation and management of strategic programs, such as continuing education programs or enablement programs to keep the Solutions Engineering team up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring they remain competitive in the market, as well as supporting new product knowledge. • Support the career development of Solutions Engineers by providing coaching and mentoring to help them grow professionally, ensuring they have a path to advance their careers within the organization. • Drive development project deliverables aligned with strategic goals set by senior leaders. • Maintain role excellence and proficiency within the Solutions Engineering team through ongoing training and assessment, keeping the team's skills current and relevant. • Provide leadership enablement support to executives and managers within the Solutions Engineering department, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to succeed in their roles. • Coordinate and plan events for the Solution Engineering team to ensure they are up-to-date with key themes and developments within the industry, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. • Collaborate with all enablement teams to manage new systems and tools implementations, enhancement projects, roadmap strategies, and change management plans for the Solutions Engineering org. • Develop, create, and distribute reports that provide leadership with key business insights including program adoption, content effectiveness, and more. • Partner with cross-department peers to align developmental goals, ensuring the team is working in harmony with other departments and teams across the organization. • Become an expert at Smartsheet's products and provide technical support as needed for the demo environment. • Support other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in Presales
- At least 3 years experience in SE Development and/or Program Management
- Experience creating impactful documentation, onboarding collateral or instructional materials including presentations and online training
- High level of technical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate people
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage teams/projects in multiple locations and time zones
