Position Overview The Inside Sales Team Lead at Openly will lead and develop a group of Agency Success Associates on our inside sales team who are responsible for engaging with appointed insurance agents to increase business growth. This role requires a leader who can build and nurture relationships with insurance agents while driving team performance through effective coaching, technology optimization, and data-driven decision making. This person will hold a key role in coaching and developing the inside sales team. Reporting directly to the Manager of Inside Sales. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development - Lead, coach, and develop ASAs from the inside sales team - Review performance expectations and areas for improvement through feedback in structured one-on-one meetings - Implement effective training programs to enhance team capabilities and product knowledge - Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture Sales Strategy and Execution - Through collaboration with the Manager of Inside Sales, implement sales strategies to increase agent engagement and policy production in line with company objectives - Refine sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of agent interactions - Collaborate with Manager of Inside Sales and other departments as needed to align messaging and identify new growth opportunities Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with key insurance agency partners - Identify and address agent needs, concerns, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships - Implement strategies to increase agent loyalty and advocacy for Openly products Technology and Operations - Partner with the Sales Operations Manager for implementation and optimization of sales technology tools, QA and coaching platforms, and CRM systems - Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement - Utilize reporting mechanisms to track team performance and business growth - Collaborate with IT to ensure the team has the necessary technological support to succeed Qualifications Required Skills and Experience - 3+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success in inside sales, preferably in insurance or related financial services - Proven track record of taking on leadership responsibilities, leading initiatives, and coaching others - Strong understanding of insurance industry, particularly property and casualty insurance - Experience with CRM systems and sales technology tools - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Data-driven approach to decision making and performance management - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with independent insurance agents - Experience in account management - Knowledge of homeowners insurance products and underwriting guidelines - Insurance industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, AIC) - Experience in a high-growth environment or startup Compensation & Benefits: Below is the budgeted salary range for this position. Actual compensation for this position will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and skills. We are committed to providing a compensation package that not only reflects the responsibilities and requirements of the role, but also the unique expertise that the chosen candidate will bring to our team. Budgeted Salary Range $86,000—$105,000 USD The full salary range shows the min to max salary range for this position. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
