Job Scope: The role of the Sales Account Manager is to drive and support sales efforts in a given territory by implementing the sales and marketing strategies for GenScript's custom life science services. The Sales Account Manager will use his/her knowledge of science and business including corporate contacts to develop and deliver profitable initiatives and build sales. This role will support the Northeast Territory for Academic customers. The ideal candidate resides in either Boston, MA or New York, NY areas. The estimated salary range is $80,000 - $95,000, based on experience level. Key Responsibilities: The Sales Account Manager will work with the Regional Sales Managers and Technical Solution Managers to grow and develop an assigned sales territory. They will promote GenScript's custom life science service lines and will be responsible for achieving the sales goals for the assigned territory. The Sales Account Manager will work 50% of the time doing account management, quote and lead follow-up, and 50% of the time traveling in the field making customer visits and attending virtual meetings. These customer engagements are crucial for building relationships to achieve the agreed monthly/quarterly/yearly sales goals. - Work to develop and implement territory sales strategies for services, new markets and applications - Work cross-functionally to ensure all possible actions have been taken to secure business in a competitive environment - Responsible for understanding the customer’s research applications and matching GenScript’s custom life science services with their project requirements - Share market knowledge with Sales, TAM and Marketing teams through weekly field feedback reports - Introduce GenScript to new academic researchers Qualifications: - Strong scientific background- either a Bachelor's degree or above majoring in life science area or equivalent experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience in scientific or life science sales - Knowledge of the Biological and CRO or CDMO market or general biotech industry. Context Over the past five years, PathAI has developed many pathology algorithms (across various IO biomarkers and indications in Oncology, Immunology, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease) that aim to tackle major challenges in precision medicine. Where You Fit The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Sales and Partnerships Lead, Digital Diagnostics will be accountable for selling PathAI’s AISight Dx digital pathology image management system (IMS) and menu of algorithms to clinical diagnostic laboratories in the US. As a sales leader in the commercial function, this individual will work cross-functionally to drive the end-to-end sales cycle including customer segmentation and target identification, lead generation, contract negotiations, security and technical approvals, deal execution, and initial software and algorithm implementation within their territory. This role will work closely with the Commercial Leader - Digital Diagnostics as well as a cross-functional team of leaders across Product, Legal/Regulatory, Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships to ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
