• Tangoe is seeking a talented and business-savvy Corporate Counsel to join our remote Legal team. • This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the organization with a primary focus on data privacy, technology transactions, and regulatory compliance. • They will support strategic initiatives and daily operations by providing practical legal guidance, managing risk, and helping ensure compliance with applicable data protection and information security laws. • You will partner cross-functionally with teams across the company to negotiate technology-related agreements, navigate evolving privacy laws, and support our mission to streamline and safeguard enterprise technology. • Your work will integrate legal risk management with practical business judgment to help drive growth while maintaining compliance, protecting both the company and our customers. • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, partnership, vendor, and data sharing agreements. • Provide clear, actionable guidance to internal stakeholders on contract risks, obligations, and mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with internal business teams to evaluate deal terms and support go-to-market efforts. • Help maintain, refine, and update existing templates and contribute to contracting and contract management processes. • Partner with Compliance and Security teams to support adherence to data protection, information security, and regulatory requirements. • Monitor compliance with contract terms and support dispute resolution when needed. • Assist with internal projects, trainings, and processes as needed, and drive cross-functional efforts. • Support broader legal and business initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state and in good standing.
- 5+ years of combined legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- 3+ years of in-house legal experience required.
- Proven experience negotiating technology and data-driven contracts, including DPA review.
- Solid understanding of U.S. and international data privacy frameworks and compliance obligations.
- Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex legal principles clearly and concisely.
- Experience supporting sales organizations.
- Strategic thinker with well-developed business acumen and the ability to combine legal and business analysis and judgment in a practical manner.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and workflow systems; Ironclad and Salesforce experience preferred.
- Able to work independently in a remote environment while building strong cross-functional relationships.
