JOB DESCRIPTION About the Role: We are seeking a Director of E-Commerce Growth & Marketplace Partnerships to lead the strategy and execution of marketplace growth for third-party partner brands across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and emerging e-commerce platforms. This leader will operate as a general manager for partner brands, driving profitable revenue growth while coordinating cross-functional resources including marketing, merchandising, operations, sourcing, and logistics. This role is responsible for owning marketplace performance end-to-end — including merchandising strategy, marketing investment, forecasting, operational infrastructure, and brand partnership management. The ideal candidate combines strong marketplace expertise, operational rigor, and strategic thinking to scale partner brands while building repeatable processes that support long-term growth. This individual will work closely with internal teams across finance, operations, creative, marketing, and logistics, as well as external brand partners and 3PL providers, to maximize performance and remove operational friction. This position reports to the Chief Business Development Officer and can be remote from any of the 16 U.S. states where IPSY hires. Heavy preference given to Los-Angeles, CA area candidates. What You’ll Be Doing: Marketplace Growth & Revenue Ownership - Own revenue and profitability across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other third-party commerce platforms - Develop and execute strategies to scale partner brand sales across marketplaces - Drive profitable growth through optimized merchandising, pricing, and marketing investment - Identify and expand opportunities across additional e-commerce platforms and channels Social Commerce & Creator Architecture - Architect the TikTok Shop Affiliate strategy, managing the Affiliate Center and creator-led "Live Shopping" funnels to turn social momentum into measurable business impact. - Partner with creative teams to produce "Algorithm-First" content that reduce purchase friction Brand Partnership Management - Serve as the primary strategic partner and operator for supported brands - Act as a GM for partner brands, coordinating resources across marketing, operations, sourcing, and logistics - Build strong relationships with partner brands and ensure alignment on strategy, performance, and growth initiatives Marketplace Operations, Merchandising and Compliance - Own marketplace merchandising strategy including product assortment, content optimization, promotions, and launches - Manage marketplace storefronts and listings to maximize discoverability and conversion - Oversee Account Health and platform compliance, managing Brand Registry, IP protection, and proactive resolution of potential account suspensions or counterfeit concerns. - Coordinate product photography, creative assets, and listing optimization Marketing & Performance Optimization - Manage and optimize paid marketing investments across Amazon and TikTok Shop Develop data-driven strategies to improve CAC, ROAS, and contribution margin - Monitor "Share of Voice" (SOV) metrics to ensure partner brands maintain a competitive edge in key beauty categories. - Partner with growth marketing teams to test and scale acquisition strategies Inventory Planning & Forecasting - Lead demand forecasting and inventory planning to support growth while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory - Partner with supply chain, sourcing, and brand partners to ensure appropriate inventory levels - Manage product lifecycle planning including launches and restocks Operational Leadership - Build scalable processes and operating frameworks to support marketplace growth - Work cross-functionally with finance, supply chain, creative, and marketing teams - Partner with finance to build budgets, forecast performance, and monitor profitability 3PL & Logistics Optimization - Oversee 3PL relationships supporting partner brands - Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate operational friction - Ensure seamless coordination between brands, warehouse partners, and marketplaces Strategic Growth Initiatives - Identify and execute creative growth opportunities leveraging IPSY's competitive advantages - Develop scalable systems and playbooks for onboarding and accelerating new partner brands - Continuously evaluate marketplace trends, tools, and opportunities to drive incremental growth What We Are Looking For: - 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or digital commerce - Deep experience with Amazon marketplace operations and performance marketing - Experience scaling brands on TikTok Shop or emerging social commerce platforms - Proven track record of driving profitable revenue growth on third-party marketplaces - Strong experience with inventory planning, forecasting, and supply chain coordination - Proficiency in AI-driven personalization tools and advanced marketplace analytics - Experience managing P&L ownership or GM-style responsibilities - Ability to build operational frameworks and scalable processes - Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, specifically relating to blended ROAS and Omni-channel LTV - Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners - What We Offer: - Competitive base salary & bonus program - Medical, dental & vision insurance - 401(k) plan with company match - Paid Time Off - Work from home flexibility - Free IPSY Extra subscription - Learning & development programs EEO Statement: We celebrate diversity and are an equal-opportunity employer.
