Collections Strategy Manager

TD

• Manages the creation, implementation and validation of various risk segmentation strategies including adjudication, exposure management, risk segmentation, and financial return optimization • Provides critical information, interpretative, and detailed analysis • Deploys critical credit risk rational strategies to ensure decisions are made within TD risk appetite and adhere to governmental requirements • Investigates, creates, implements and validates various risk segmentation strategies and policies using complex data including cohort time series analysis of PCL, Marketing Investments, Decision Expense, Risk Adjusted Revenue, Risk Adjusted Margin, NPV, ROE, etc. • Acts as the primary regulatory interface on risk issues and requirements for a key business segment of the Bank • Assesses and provides direction for existing and new regulations • Interfaces with teams beyond risk in a cross-functional manner

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred or progressive work experience
  • 10+ years' experience required
  • Proficient PC skills in MS Office and a variety of PC-based analytical and reporting software packages
  • Experience with Relational Databases and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes using languages such as SQL or SAS
  • Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder or Angoss Knowledge Seeker
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Extremely strong attention to detail with ability to manage a range of tasks and prioritize
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain productive business/peer relationships
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly organized AR Collections Specialist to manage and resolve payment-related issues efficiently. This role involves investigating financial discrepancies, validating commission payments, handling disputes, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth payment processing. Key Responsibilities: - Find contacts (e-mails/phone numbers) for suppliers. - Identify and resolve payment-related issues, including disputes, short payments, and missing payments. - Investigate payment applications using Onyx, TACS, check and wire transfer records. - Validate commission payments with the Supplier Portal on a weekly basis. - Handle disputed amounts by verifying records in Retool, making necessary invoice adjustments, and providing updates. - Address duplicate bookings by coordinating with the bookings team. - Contact suppliers' finance departments via phone or email. - Researching contact details using Intercom, Internet, Retool Supplier Management or other internal and external resources. - Update the tracking sheet with contact attempts and outcomes. - Manage invoice-related tasks using available resources such as Retool links and Intercom emails.
