Machining Commodity Manager

• Responsible for the development and execution of commodity and supplier development strategies for direct product. • Conduct RFQs, perform comprehensive bid analysis, provide recommendations and lead the execution of the quoting strategy. • Develop and lead execution of multiple supplier’s contract strategy including price and legal terms and conditions negotiations. • Execute monthly and quarterly part, project, supplier level cost analysis to understand savings and headwinds trend. • Support multiple buy to buy, buy to make, and make to buy projects by leading and executing complete sourcing and business case approval as per the Work Transfer process. • Understand basic military sourcing FAR12 and FAR15 requirements. • Work with Operational Procurement, Engineering and Program Management to ensure successful introduction of new programs and successful transfer of production requirements to suppliers. • Organize efforts regarding supplier performance improvements and act as relationship manager with suppliers. • Support the development or extension of new suppliers of broad-based commodity. • Drive special projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams across the organization. • Administer timely reporting, analysis, MRP updates for the assigned suppliers and projects.
Job Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- 3+ years experience from within supply chain or sourcing or commodity management.
- 3+ years experience with contacts and price negotiations.
- 3+ years experience providing data analysis, creating and presenting using MS software (MS Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working in ERP systems.

Role Description Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a National Account Manager (NAM) to lead our business with ADUSA (Food Lion, Stop & Shop, Giant, Hannaford), one of Heartland’s most strategic retail partners. This role is ideal for a proven CPG sales leader with direct experience calling on this account, established relationships with merchandising teams, and a passion for building brands through strong retailer collaboration. This position is remote, ideally based in Tampa, FL.
