• Manage personal care & household business & customers’ interface in Italy • Identify & deliver new opportunities to grow business in the designated territory • Apply Ashland strategy at the accounts under her/his responsibility • Delivers the business plan for the assigned territory and accounts: sales volume, revenues, and profits • Proactively seeks information about Customers strategy and product launches • Coordinates activities related to the projects with the Customer on the products application and development • Closely cooperate with Technical Experts to make sure project meets Customer needs • Contributes his/her insights and guidelines to the regional strategy and account plan • Implements accordingly • Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety • Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others
Job Requirements
- A minimum of a Chemical Degree or related discipline
- 8+ years in sales experience in the Personal Care & Home Care industry supporting regional growth and market development initiative
- High discipline and ability to work independently
- Strong time‑management and prioritization across multiple accounts
- Ability to set and track goals without direct on-site supervision
- Fluent in Italian, English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times
- The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different
- 1-2 years managing Distributors
- Ability to build relationships without in‑person interaction
- Open for travelling up to 30-40 % time

Role Description The Regional Sales Manager (North Central Region) manages all sales activities in the territory, primarily working with Manufacturers’ Representatives. This is a remote position, and the home-based location must be suitable for covering the Upper Midwest. - Takes a leadership position and coordinates all sales-related activities (direct and distribution) within established sales territories, quotas, and goals. - Direct interface and management of the Manufacturing Representative network within the geographic region. - Develops and builds senior-level client relationships, leads strategic sales initiatives, forecasts revenue, and initiates new business growth. - Establishes and builds professional relationships with Key Accounts. - Sets account development and distribution strategy within the geographic region in accordance with company policies, objectives, and goals. - Works with the National Distribution Manager to reconcile distribution issues within the geographic region. - Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. - Analyzes sales statistics to formulate strategy and actions. - Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales forecasts to accommodate company goals. - Works with Product Marketing Managers and Field Application Engineers to develop account/product strategies. - Represents the company at trade shows to promote products. - Coordinates activities between the sales department and other sales-related units. - Analyzes and controls expenditures of the region to conform to budgetary requirements. - Profiles top-tier customers within the geographic region for deep sales and relationship penetration. - Travels as necessary to customer locations and field territories.
