Field Engineer
EBI Consulting
• Assess and evaluate the physical condition of properties through Capital Needs Assessments • Communicate and coordinate with on-site property representatives • Execute travel planning and perform site visits • Author reporting to meet quality control deadlines • Participate in a work from home environment with travel representing ~40% of time. • Flexibility to travel within the Mid West Region and possibly nationwide.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in architecture, engineering, construction, or related field
- At least 5+ years of professional experience in due diligence consulting preferred to meet client scope of work qualifications; otherwise, examples of relevant consulting expertise in related technical fields is required
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) credentials preferred but not required
- Direct prior experience serving HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or other affordable housing scopes of work is preferred but not required
- Experience conducting other property condition assessment (i.e., PCA, FCA, etc.) reporting on office, retail, or hotel properties is valued.
- Experience or familiarity with obtaining environmental site data needed to complete ASTM E1527 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) is preferred, but not required.

• Perform on-site installation and preventive maintenance of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometer equipment at customer labs • Handle personal parts inventories, complete job tasks and complete service reports using service ticket management software • Train customers in equipment and software • Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer • Regularly attend factory provided technical and service training on newest innovative products developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific • Must be team focused while working in conjunction with Service and Sales teams • Review customer data and run factory protocols to troubleshoot instrumentation • Share diagnostic information with engineering, factory, field service, management, and other personnel to expedite repairs
